PACHAUG POND
Why Preserve Pachaug Pond?
The largest inland body of water east of the Connecticut River with over 800 surface acres, Pachuag Pond offers outdoor recreational activities including fishing, swimming, boating, cross country-skiing, and snowmobiling. It is the home of a marina and 122 site campground, a public access boat launch ramp, and a fish and game club. Stocked with northern pike, the pond is the site of ten fishing derbies and also hosts The Great Pachaug Canoe and Kayak race.
For over 200 lakefront property owners and the greater community, Pachaug Pond provides everchanging natural beauty, abundant waterfowl, and year-round recreation.
